Returns Policy

Terms & Conditions for Claydon Gallery online sales.

By placing an order you are accepting our terms and conditions in place at the time (note that the terms and conditions may change from time to time).

Once your order has been placed we will send confirmation by email.

Orders will only be dispatched once payment has been received in full.

By clicking the Buy Now button you will be able to pay for online purchases via PayPal.  Please note that you do not need a PayPal account in order to use this function and can pay by using credit or debit card.

If you see something you like and wish to pay by Bank Transfer (BACS) please contact the gallery by email. If you order by email and pay using BACS we will only dispatch the item you wish to purchase once payment has been received.

Order Cancellation

You may cancel an order that has not been dispatched but please contact the gallery as soon as possible by email and any payment already made will be refunded.  If we have dispatched the item then please see our Returns and Refunds policy section below.

In very exceptional circumstances the gallery reserves the right to cancel an order which has already been placed and the customer will be refunded.

Postage, Packing & Delivery

Delivery charges indicated on the gallery pages are for mainland United Kingdom only. For delivery outside mainland UK we may need to charge additional delivery costs. Please email the gallery for a quote.

Unfortunately, we cannot quote standard charges for postage and packaging for all items. For larger, more expensive artwork requiring delivery by specialist art couriers please email the gallery info@claydongallery.co.uk for a posting and packaging quote.

The artwork is normally packaged and sent out by the artist/maker. They will make every effort to ensure that your order is well packaged and protected.

They will use recognised couriers and Royal Mail.

Artwork will not be dispatched until receipt of payment.

We will try to ensure that items are dispatched within 3-5 working days and should be received within 10 days from dispatch but should be received within a few days.

Returns & Refunds Policy

Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected if, for any reason, you wish to return an item bought from Claydon Gallery Online.

When you shop in our online gallery, you are protected under consumer law. The Consumer Contracts Regulations for cancellation rights and the Consumer Rights Act protects your right to return a faulty good.

Please email us and we will send you a returns form containing a return address.

Changing Your Mind

If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase you can return it to us and get a full refund (excluding return postage).  The following conditions apply:

We offer a 14 Day Money Back Guarantee (excluding return postage) when you buy online through Claydon Gallery provided that the artwork is returned to, and received by us, in its original condition.  You donít have to give a reason for returning an item.

You must notify us as soon as possible and within 14 days that you wish to return an item, you then have a further 14 days to return the item to us.

We will refund the purchase cost, excluding return postage, within 14 days of receiving the item provided that it is in its original condition.

The returned item must be securely wrapped (preferably in its original packaging), and include our delivery slip.  Unfortunately, we will not cover the cost of return postage or courier fees or packaging. Return postage and packaging are at your risk and cost.

We regret that earrings cannot be returned for reasons of hygiene.

Faulty Items

Under the Consumer Rights Act you have a legal right to reject goods that are of unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose or not as described, and get a full refund - as long as you do this quickly. This right is limited to 30 days from the date you take ownership of your product. After 30 days, you will not be legally entitled to a refund if your item develops a fault. Neither can we accept returns of items that have been damaged after you have received them.

Our artists/makers will always try to ensure that all items are in good condition before sending out.  We ask purchasers to be aware that most artwork is handcrafted and characteristics that may be seen as faults in mass produced products are often the intentional handmade qualities sought and intended by the artist/maker.

In the event of an item being damaged in transit or found to be faulty, please contact us immediately on receipt, providing details of any damage.

Faulty items must be returned to us within 30 days in order to receive a refund.

We will refund the cost, including reasonable postage costs, of faulty items returned to us but, unfortunately, Items lost in transit will not be treated as returned.

Returns Process

Please email us and we will send you a returns form containing a return address.
